You are looking for a display case that you can use at trade shows where you can showcase the products and services that your business has to offer. You are trying to decide whether to buy an acrylic display case or a wood display case. In this article, I will discuss why I believe that acrylic display cases are better than wood display cases.
Lighter Weight
An acrylic display case is generally much lighter in weight than a wood display case of the same dimensions. This is largely because a wood display case consists of a wood frame with glass windows through which you can see the contents of the case. Glass weighs anywhere from four to ten times as much as acrylic. Wood also tends to be a bit heavier than acrylic. Due to being lighter in weight than wood display cases, acrylic display cases are a lot easier to move around, which really comes in handy when you have to take the display case from one trade show to the next.
Shatter Resistance
Acrylic display cases are a lot more shatter-resistant because acrylic isn’t as brittle as glass. If you hit glass with a sharp, sudden impact, then the glass could shatter. While the same could happen with an acrylic display case, it is more likely that the case will just scratch, which can be easily repaired. If you have a bunch of kids around who are constantly throwing things and running around the case, then the safety risk of having a wood or glass display case is much more pronounced than it would be with an acrylic display case.
See The Contents From All Angles
Due to the fact that a wood display case has a wood frame, you won’t be able to see the contents of the case from all angles. This is because the frame blocks the view in certain areas, particularly the edges and corners of the case. With an acrylic display case, you can see what is in the case from all angles. So, from a visibility standpoint, an acrylic display case can showcase your products more effectively than a wood display case.
Visibility from all angles, improved shatter resistance, and lighter weight are just three of the reasons why I prefer acrylic display cases over wood display cases. Visit my website for more information about acrylic display cases, window privacy film, and plastic storage bins.
